It all started 20 years ago…
Bob and Laura met at work over 20 years ago. Bob grew up above the Mason-Dixon line. He was an artistic kid who loved to draw, paint, play guitar and sing in bands. He served in the Navy and spent some time in New Orleans, Jacksonville, and eventually settled in Atlanta. Laura grew up in Atlanta and has visited the Lowcountry for many years with her family enjoying the food, culture, and beaches. She shared her love of the Lowcountry with Bob and he was instantly taken with the relaxed, eclectic atmosphere. They lived in Georgia and started their family, but as the years passed, they longed to live in the Lowcountry. Finally, after dreaming about it for what seemed like forever, they decided to make the leap and move to Mount Pleasant to live in paradise. Bob left the corporate world to create his art full time and Coastal Folk Art was born. We hope you love our vision of the Lowcountry as we do. Thanks for stopping by!
